Since March 2011 the Pinkham Way Alliance has been raising funds to support the campaign to stop the creation of a vast waste processing plant in our midst. However the fight is far from over and we still need much more support.
Funds are urgently needed to pay for planning experts and legal advisors and to print leaflets and posters that enable us to respond to everything that the NLWA and the London Borough of Haringey do in their attempt to push this preposterous scheme through.
Most of our funds come from the generous donations of our supporters; members of the public living in the areas most affected by the proposal to build a massive, unnecessary waste processing facility in their community. But we are also very grateful to local businesses such as The Laboratory and Zaynzah which have stepped forward with their support at a critical time for all of us.
We have organised several benefit concerts, mostly classical but pop as well, and we have a comedy night coming up soon at the fabulous new Bounds Green venue, The Step. You can find out more information about these on our events website.
You can also join in with your own fundraising events - cake sales, coffee mornings, sponsored rides are just some of the things you can do to raise funds for this vital cause. Here are some great ideas to get you started.
But we also need your donations
It's our communities at stake, our homes, our lives. If we don't stand up for ourselves, no one else will. Join us. Help us fund specialist planning and legal advice with a donation or even better make a monthly gift by standing order. Find out how to make a donation.
